Uzbekiston Temir Yollari completes construction of a railway station in Khiva
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekiston Temir Yollari (Uzbekistan Railways) completed the construction of a modern railway station in Khiva.
The project cost is US$35.9 million. The station created in Khiva can accommodate 200 passengers at a time. At a distance from the railway station of Urgench to Khiva, steel rails were laid.
During the project period, the planned 93 artificial, water structures, 5 bridges and 1 overpass were built.
VIP lounge, recreation room, conditions for the mother and child, medical rooms, a library are meant to serve passengers. At the entrance to the station, the guests will be greeted by a musical fountain.
The finishing works of the constructed 3 hotels, providing comfortable conditions for the guests of the ancient city, are coming to the end. In addition, the recreation park “Khiva-Lokomotiv” is being built in a lake of 57 acres, with 27 types of amusement rides, an amphitheater, and modern retail outlets.
