Uzbekiston Pochtasi and SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS sign a memorandum of cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekiston Pochtasi is working on gradually upgrading the postal infrastructure. Solving this problem is impossible without attracting foreign partners.

In April, the official meeting took place between Uzbekiston Pochtasi and the South Korean corporation SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS. On 6 May, the sides signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

Highly appreciating the concept of the reform of the Uzbekiston Pochtasi from the point of view of ICT solutions, Vice President of SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS for Central Asia –Kim Sang Yun suggested already presenting SAMSUNG products as an investment at the current stage of preparing transformations.

The corporation, having a multifaceted experience in the field of "digital" technologies in the sectors adjacent to the mail, suggested starting with the delivery of mobile workplaces for the staff of the administration and postmen. SAMSUNG believes that this will be a significant step towards the implementation of digitalization of workflows and will significantly improve management efficiency and transparency.

Readiness to begin the corresponding deliveries of products for trial operation and training of the Uzbekiston Pochtasi employees was expressed.

Representatives of SAMSUNG stressed that the target visit of such a high-ranking manager indicates a high appreciation of innovative approaches to the Concept of the reform of the Uzbekiston Pochtasi.

SAMSUNG expresses a desire to participate in the implementation of the Concept, since, in their opinion, it can create a new class of devices and solutions that are relevant for the markets of all countries of the world - stationary mobile workplaces for corporate and individual use.
