Uzbekistan’s Senate Discusses Expansion of Cooperation with the Export-Import Bank of Korea
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 February 2025, a meeting took place in Tashkent between Tanzila Narbayeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, and Kang Sang-jin, Head of the Representative Office of the Export-Import Bank of Korea in Uzbekistan.
During the negotiations, both sides emphasized the dynamic development of friendly and partnership relations between Uzbekistan and South Korea. Special attention was given to the successful joint projects in the fields of education and healthcare, which have contributed to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
One of the key topics of discussion was the continuation of collaboration with the Export-Import Bank of Korea under the program supporting women’s entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan. The participants highlighted the importance of experience exchange and the development of new initiatives aimed at creating favorable conditions for the growth of women-led businesses.
Kang Sang-jin expressed the bank’s readiness to provide comprehensive support for the implementation of these projects and actively participate in initiatives aimed at improving the business climate in the country.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to further deepen cooperation and implement concrete projects that will contribute to Uzbekistan’s socio-economic development.
