Uzbekistan’s Retail Trade Grows 10.3% in First 10 Months of 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s retail trade turnover reached 356.6 trillion soums in the first 10 months of 2025, an increase of 10.3% compared with the same period last year, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Large enterprises accounted for 63.7 trillion soums of the total, up 16.8%, while small businesses and private entrepreneurs generated 292.9 trillion soums, a rise of 9.0%.

As of 1 November 2025, the retail sector included 85,585 commercial enterprises, of which 344 were large and 85,241 were small or micro-enterprises.

The wholesale trade sector comprised 50,763 enterprises, including 366 large firms and 50,397 small and micro firms. Total wholesale turnover for January–October reached 393.9 trillion soums, up 12.2% year-on-year. Large enterprises accounted for 109.5 trillion soums, growing 20.6%, while small businesses generated 284.3 trillion soums, or 72.2% of the total wholesale turnover.

In the foodservice sector, 25,887 enterprises were operating as of November 1, including 113 large firms and 25,774 small or micro-enterprises. Turnover for January–October totaled 190.2 trillion soums, up 14.0% compared with the same period in 2024. Small enterprises accounted for 84.5% of the turnover, while large firms contributed 15.5%.
