Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Information and Mass Communications Agency under the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with representatives of the British government organized a training seminar on 5 November for the press services of state bodies and organizations of our country.

The event was dedicated to the development, planning and use of effective communications. It covers an introduction to strategic as well as digital communications.

The trainers of the seminar were specialists from the UK government. They acquainted participants - heads of press services of ministries and departments, state organizations with examples of the use by the UK government of strategic and digital communications.

Spokespersons were interested in experience in the areas of media relations and digital communications management. State bodies of Uzbekistan understand that information activity has reached a new stage of development, and traditional media and familiar communication channels are no longer enough for a high-quality image formation. It is becoming increasingly difficult to meet the growing needs of the audience. The effective use of digital communications, according to experts, will diversify the methods for promoting the policy and image of government agencies.

The event was held in the form of a workshop, where specialists were required to work in groups and develop a draft plan for digital communications using a task package.

The seminar was organized within the framework of a memorandum of understanding and cooperation signed between AIMK and the UK government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain in order to support the reform program in Uzbekistan.

According to participants, they gained a deeper understanding of strategic and digital communications, and also mastered the skills of their application in everyday work.
