Uzbekistan’s President Meets BlackRock Leadership in New York

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of his official visit to New York, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Adebayo Ogunlesi, member of the board and senior managing director of the investment company BlackRock.

BlackRock is one of the world’s largest investment firms, specializing in asset and fund management as well as financial services. The company’s total assets exceed USD 11 trillion.

During the meeting, the parties discussed further development of strategic partnership, focusing primarily on energy, transport, and water infrastructure sectors.

The initiative to create a Joint Fund, through which promising projects will be implemented, received support. The next steps include finalizing the platform concept and beginning practical implementation of the joint initiatives.
