Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Development Agency Discusses Cooperation with Medtronic

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan, held a working meeting with the Vice President of Medtronic, one of the world’s leading medical technology manufacturers.

Medtronic, headquartered in the United States, operates in over 150 countries and has an annual revenue exceeding $30 billion. The company holds a leading position in the production of medical equipment for cardiology, diabetology, surgery, and other fields.

During the discussions, ongoing reforms and achievements in Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical and medical sectors were reviewed. Medtronic representatives highly appreciated the Agency’s work and its contribution to the sector’s development.

The parties agreed to cooperate in workforce training and the implementation of joint research projects aimed at introducing innovative technologies into the country’s medical practice.
