Uzbekistan’s Pension Fund and ILO Discuss Improving the Efficiency of the Pension System
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 22 September, the Pension Fund of Uzbekistan held a meeting with P. Annike, a representative of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
The discussion focused on conducting an actuarial assessment of the pension system, including the possibility of financing from international donors and lenders, as well as upgrading the skills of specialists involved in carrying out the assessment.
Special attention was given to defining concrete steps for implementing the actuarial evaluation, training experts, and organizing the process in line with international best practices.
Following the talks, both parties agreed to elevate their cooperation to a new level with the aim of improving the efficiency and sustainability of Uzbekistan’s pension system.
