Uzbekistan’s National Statistics Committee Announces Timeline for Publication of Population and Agricultural Census Results

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Preliminary results of Uzbekistan’s population and agricultural censuses are scheduled to be published by 1 July 2026.

Fully processed and finalized official data will be released by 1 July 2027, according to a statement from the National Statistics Committee.

The committee noted that the census is a large-scale state undertaking that generates a significant volume of information. After data collection is completed, additional time is required for processing, verification, and comprehensive analysis.

The committee emphasized that, internationally, it is not uncommon for census results to be published only two to three years after the fieldwork stage is completed.

In Uzbekistan, the data processing timeline has been significantly accelerated through the implementation of a logical control mechanism. This approach allows errors and inconsistencies to be identified and corrected in real time, substantially reducing the time needed to prepare the final reports.

Authorities have encouraged citizens to actively participate in the census and provide accurate and complete information about themselves and their family members.

The Statistics Committee stressed that reliable information will serve as the foundation for informed policy decisions, the development of targeted social and economic programs, and the promotion of sustainable national development.

The committee also reminded the public that, during the second stage of the population and agricultural census, commemorative certificates will not be issued to participants.
