Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Justice Registers Guidelines on Payment of Periodic Customs Duties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan has officially registered the instruction titled “On the Procedure for Completing the Schedule of Periodic Customs Payments.”

The document establishes the procedure for submitting a payment schedule to the customs authority by the declarant in cases where goods are placed under a temporary import regime with mandatory monthly or quarterly payments, as well as after the expiration of preferential periods granting conditional exemptions from customs duties.

If the schedule is submitted in paper form, it must be prepared in four A4 copies: the first copy remains at the customs post, the second with the declarant, and the third and fourth with the applicant. Each copy must be approved by the declarant and an authorized customs representative.

The instruction aims to simplify monitoring and ensure timely compliance with the payment of periodic customs duties.
