Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Justice Detects Counterfeit Products under the Polisorb Brand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan reported the detection of counterfeit products marketed under the brand “Polisorb.”

The inspection was carried out following a complaint from the joint-stock company Polisorb (Russia) regarding the activities of LLC O.B.M.

During the verification, it was established that a dietary supplement labeled “POLISORB ENT” was being produced, with a name confusingly similar to the registered trademark “POLISORB.”

As a result of the inspection, the product was officially recognized as counterfeit.

An administrative protocol was drawn up against the head of LLC O.B.M. in accordance with Article 177 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The case materials have been submitted to the court in due course.

The Ministry of Justice urged citizens to refrain from purchasing or consuming counterfeit pharmaceutical and dietary supplements and to carefully verify the authenticity of products before purchase.
