Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Discusses Investments and Infrastructure Projects with President of EXIM Bank of the United States

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On the sidelines of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s working visit to the United States, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with John Yovanovich, President and Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM Bank).

During the discussions, current projects in finance, technology, infrastructure modernization, and aviation were reviewed. Special attention was given to cooperation in the field of critical mineral resources (CRM), the creation of value-added chains, and the strengthening of energy security. The importance of projects supported by EXIM Bank was highlighted, particularly those related to the development of gas infrastructure.

Both parties confirmed their readiness to deepen long-term partnership, expand investment and trade, and implement innovative solutions.

In this context, the “Uzbekistan–2030” strategy, aimed at achieving a GDP of $200 billion and strengthening the country’s position as a reliable partner, underscores the key role of cooperation with the United States in sustainable economic and innovative development.
