Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies Meets Leading U.S. Companies

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with a delegation of American companies visiting Uzbekistan through the initiative of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The event brought together representatives from leading U.S. technology and innovation companies, including Apple, Amazon Project Kuiper, Mastercard, Meta, Plug & Play Tech Center, Illumina, as well as several other major firms and organizations.

During the discussions, the parties thoroughly explored prospects for cooperation in developing the digital economy, ensuring information security, integrating artificial intelligence into government administration and business processes, supporting startups and the innovation ecosystem, and improving IT education and digital infrastructure.

The American companies highly appreciated the extensive digital economy and innovation reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, expressing strong interest in the country’s investment climate and emerging opportunities.

Following the meeting, both sides agreed to launch practical collaboration in digital technologies, startups, and cybersecurity, as well as to jointly develop new initiatives.
