Uzbekistan’s Metallurgy Output Doubled in January

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January 2026, Uzbekistan produced metallurgical products worth 29.2 trillion soums, according to the National Committee on Statistics of Uzbekistan.

This represents a 2.1-fold increase compared to the same period in 2025, highlighting significant growth in the sector.

Data over recent years show a consistent upward trend in metallurgical output: 4.8 billion soums in 2020, 6.8 billion soums in 2021, 7.7 billion soums in 2022, 8.1 billion soums in 2023, 10.4 billion soums in 2024, and 14.1 billion soums in 2025.

The sharp increase in 2026 indicates accelerated production activity and an enhanced role of the metallurgical industry in the country’s industrial structure.
