Uzbekistan’s Investment Minister Discusses Expansion of Bilateral Cooperation with President of Paraguay
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During his visit to Asunción, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with the President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña.
The discussions focused on the gradual opening of markets and expanding mutual access for goods between the two countries.
The meeting continued the agreements reached in December last year during a meeting between the President of Paraguay and Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, when both sides set a course for strengthening ties between Latin America and Central Asia in trade, investment, energy, and food security.
During the current talks, prospects for cooperation in mineral exploration and development were also discussed, including attracting investment and modern technologies.
Special attention was given to fostering collaboration between relevant government agencies and business communities to launch joint projects and establish long-term partnerships.
Both sides emphasized the importance of steadily expanding economic and investment ties and expressed readiness to implement concrete initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
