Uzbekistan’s industrial production makes up 111.267 trln. soums in 2016

Adopted measures, aimed at technological renovation of production facilities, allowed to increase labor productivity by 4.1%.

According to the International Standard Industrial Classification, the industrial production index, including construction, for the reporting period was 106.6%.

Implementation of measures to improve the business environment and support the development of private enterprise led to the increase in the share of small business in industrial production to 45% in January-December 2016 versus 40.6% in the corresponding period of 2015.

The implementation of the Program on localization of production of finished products, components and materials, in the framework of which in January-December 2016 there were manufactured products for 6.146 trillion soums, contributed to the development of cooperative ties among domestic producers.

In the reporting period, the production of consumer goods amounted to 47.359 trillion soums (+5.4% year-on-year), of which food products – 23.617 trillion soums (+11.4%), non-food products – 23.742 trillion soums (+0.1%). The share of consumer goods in the total volume of industrial production reached 42.6%.
