Uzbekistan’s industrial output grows by 7% in 1H

In the reporting period, consumer goods were produced worth 8.088 trillion soums (+7.7% year-on-year), of which food products made up 3.613 trillion soums (+9.3%), and non-food products – 4.475 trillion soums (+6.4%).

Largest volume of industrial products was manufactured in fuel industry (19.2% of total industrial production), machinery and metal processing (15.5%), food industry (13.6%) and light industry (13.4%).

At the same time, share of fuel industry rose by 1.7 percentage points compared to January-June 2011. Share of light industry fell by 0.8 percentage points, machinery and metal processing – 0.1 percentage point.

In particular, fuel industry produced goods for 4.622 trillion soums (+5.1%), machinery and metal processing – 3.749 trillion soums (+8.3%), light industry – 3.242 trillion soums (+12.9%) and food industry – 3.273 trillion soums (+8%).
