Uzbekistan’s Import of Fuel and Energy Products Declines by 4.2% in the First Nine Months of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the first nine months of 2025, the value of Uzbekistan’s imports of fuel and energy products decreased by 4.2% compared to the same period in 2024, totaling US$1.173 billion versus US$1.225 billion, according to data from the country’s Customs Committee.
In contrast, diesel fuel imports showed significant growth: in monetary terms, they rose 61.9%, reaching US$419.03 million, while shipment volumes nearly doubled, amounting to 569,220 tons.
Gasoline imports remained almost unchanged from the previous year, totaling US$340.62 million with a volume of 587,630 tons.
Imports of motor and transmission oils experienced a slight decrease in value to US$132.17 million, while volumes increased to 74,800 tons.
A sharp decline was recorded in fuel oil and other liquid fuels. The value of fuel oil imports fell more than threefold, from US$348.86 million to US$95.54 million, with volumes decreasing from 888,700 tons to 238,900 tons.
Conversely, kerosene imports nearly quadrupled, reaching US$61.59 million with a volume of 69,000 tons, while shipments of other light distillates increased from US$71.86 million to US$96.81 million, and volumes rose from 117,400 tons to 166,800 tons.
The import of other liquid fuels declined in value from US$49.06 million to US$27.64 million, with volumes decreasing from 72,700 tons to 43,300 tons.
