Uzbekistan’s Green Energy Output Rises 9.7% in March

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In March 2026, Uzbekistan’s solar and wind power plants generated a total of 911.7 million kWh of electricity.

Compared with the same period of last year, this represents an increase of 92.1 million kWh, or 9.7%.

Solar power plants contributed the largest share, producing 569.4 million kWh, while wind power stations generated 342.3 million kWh.

The growth in renewable energy generation helped reduce natural gas consumption by 243 million cubic meters and prevented the release of 524,000 tons of harmful emissions into the atmosphere.

For comparison, in March 2025, the combined output of solar and wind power plants amounted to 830.8 million kWh.
