Uzbekistan’s Gold Exports Rise by 49.4% in Ten Months

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to October 2025, Uzbekistan significantly increased its exports of non-monetary gold, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Gold shipments abroad amounted to US$9.90 billion, representing a 49.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024 (US$6.63 billion). The share of gold in the country’s export structure reached 34.1%, up from 29.2% in January–October of the previous year, highlighting the key role of the precious metal in Uzbekistan’s foreign trade operations.

According to the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan’s total foreign trade turnover for January–October 2025 reached US$66.5 billion, up US$11.75 billion, or 21.5%, compared to the same period in 2024.

Exports over the ten months totaled US$29.005 billion, showing a 27.8% increase compared to January–October 2024, while imports rose to US$37.53 billion, up 16.9% year-on-year.

As a result, the country recorded a trade deficit of US$8.53 billion.
