Uzbekistan’s GDP makes up 199.325 trln. soums in 2016

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of the gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan, according to the preliminary results, made up 199.325 trillion soums at current prices in 2016, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The growth of the GDP of Uzbekistan made up 7.8% in 2016, the committee said in its report.

The economy of Uzbekistan grew due to growth, recorded in such spheres as construction (+12.5%), trade, accommodation and food services (+13.4%) as well as transportation and storage, information and communication (+7.1%).

According to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee, about 81.3% of the GDP fell to share of non-state sector and 18.7% - state sector.

Share of industry in GDP of Uzbekistan made up 32.9% in 2016 (33.1% in 2015), services – 49.5% (48.6%) and agriculture, forestry and fishing – 17.6% (18.3%). Net taxes for products made up 8.7% in 2016 compared to 8.8% in 2015.
