Uzbekistan’s GDP makes up 13.123 trln. soums in 1Q 2011

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-March 2011, the volume of gross domestic product (GDP) made up 13.123 trillion soums at current prices or increased by 7.6% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan based on preliminary data.

In the structure of GDP by forms of ownership the share of the non-state sector is 76.7% (in January-March 2010 – 76.6%) and the state sector – 23.3% (in January-March 2010 - 23.4%).

The committee said that goods production in the structure of GDP made up 38.2% in the first quarter of 2011 compared to 38.9% in the same period of 2010 and services – 48.5% in the reporting period of 2011 versus 46.4% in the same period of 2010.

Share of net taxes on products and export-import operations in GDP decreased from 14.7% in the first three months of 2010 to 13.3% in the same period of 2011, the committee said.
