Uzbekistan’s GDP increases by 8.1% in Jan-Sep

The industrial production in Uzbekistan grew by 8.4% year-on-year in January-September, agriculture products – 6.8% year-on-year, investment into fixed capital – 10.7% (in US dollar equivalent – 12.3%), construction works – 18.9% year-on-year, retail trade turnover – 14.2% year-on-year and market services – 14.7% year-on-year.

In the reporting period, foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan made up US$21.3 billion, which rose by 0.6% year-on-year. The volume of exports made up US$11.1 billion in January-September (+0.2%) and imports – US$10.2 billion (+0.9%).

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the positive foreign trade balance made up US$916.8 million.
