Industrial production of Uzbekistan rose by 7% in the reporting period, agriculture production – 6.7% and retail trade – 12.8%.
The state budget was executed with 0.1% surplus to GDP. The inflation level did not exceed forecasted parameters.
The volume of service rose by 12.1% and share of services in GDP of Uzbekistan made up 59.5% compared to 59.3% in the first quarter of 2015.
In January-March 2016, some 8,400 new business entities were created in Uzbekistan, which rose by 5.5% year-on-year. The small businesses received 3.6 trillion soums of loans in January-March 2016, which rose by 1.3 times year-on-year.
Within the programme of creation of job for 2016, about 167,400 new jobs were created in Uzbekistan, of which 57.7% in the rural areas.
In the reporting period, the growth of the volume of used investments made up 8.5%, including foreign investments – 14.4%. Realization of 368 new investment projects started in Uzbekistan within the investment programme for 2016. Uzbekistan launched 37 new types of localized goods.
