Uzbekistan’s Gas Exports Exceed US$628 Million in 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2025, Uzbekistan exported gas worth US$628.8 million, 1.4% higher than in 2024, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.
The largest shipments occurred in April — US$105.4 million, May — US$88.3 million, and July — US$83.7 million. The lowest export volume was recorded in December at just US$4.7 million, 7.3 times lower than December 2024 (US$34.2 million). Last year, gas was primarily supplied to Tajikistan and China.
Meanwhile, gas imports in 2025 totaled US$1.66 billion, 1.2% below the 2024 level, with December imports reaching US$203 million.
As a result, Uzbekistan’s gas trade balance remained negative, with the gap between exports and imports amounting to approximately US$1.03 billion, slightly lower than the 2024 deficit of US$1.052 billion.
