Uzbekistan’s fruit and vegetable exports exceed US$1 billion in seven months
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to July 2025, Uzbekistan exported 1.3 million tons of fruit and vegetable products worth over US$1 billion, according to the National Statistics Agency’s report on the country’s foreign trade.
Compared to the same period in 2024, export volumes increased by 5.2% (62.9 thousand tons), while the value of exports rose by 35.2%. Fruit and vegetable products accounted for 5.3% of Uzbekistan’s total foreign trade.
“The volume of fruit and vegetable exports during the reporting period reached US$1,066.8 million, which is 35.2% higher than the same period in 2024. In the overall export structure, their share amounted to 5.3%,” the agency noted.
Among the most in-demand products on foreign markets were dried grapes, onions, cabbage, carrots, tomatoes, cherries, apricots, mung beans, and other fresh and processed produce.
According to forecasts, by the end of 2025, Uzbekistan’s fruit and vegetable exports could reach US$3.5 billion. This issue was highlighted at a video conference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which focused on measures to expand production, processing, and export of agricultural products.
