Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry Welcomes Gaza Ceasefire Agreements
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has welcomed the ceasefire agreements in the Gaza Strip, achieved with the mediation of U.S. President Donald Trump, as well as the release of detained individuals, the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry praised the coordinated efforts of Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye, emphasizing their key role in the process, which lays the groundwork for an early end to violence, mitigation of the humanitarian crisis, and the restoration of political dialogue.
The statement noted that Uzbekistan consistently supports the establishment of a durable and just peace in the Middle East based on international law and UN Security Council resolutions.
“We are convinced that the ceasefire is not a temporary measure but an important step toward a long-term political solution aimed at ensuring security, establishing sustainable consensus, and restoring mutual trust between the parties,” the statement said.
Uzbekistan confirmed its readiness to make a constructive contribution to international efforts to ensure peace, stability, and humanitarian relief in the Middle East.
