Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Information appeared on social media claiming that Uzbek citizens were allegedly harmed during an OMON raid at a café in Khabarovsk on 12 December 2025, with reports that two individuals fell into a coma and one of them died.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the death of the citizen has been taken under official oversight by the Uzbek Consulate General in Vladivostok in coordination with the Migration Agency.

The consulate maintains constant contact with the deceased’s relatives, provides them with necessary consular and practical assistance, and is overseeing arrangements for the repatriation of the body.

The Consulate General has sent formal notes to the Khabarovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the investigative department, and the Russian Foreign Ministry’s regional representation, requesting a comprehensive and lawful investigation into the circumstances of the incident. The MFA noted that, at present, there is no officially confirmed information regarding the cause of the Uzbek citizen’s death.
