Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, received the credentials of Fathudin Ali Mohamed, the first Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, both sides expressed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation across a wide range of promising areas.
“We wish Ambassador Mohamed great success in his diplomatic mission and are committed to developing a productive and results-oriented partnership,” the minister stated.
The ceremony marks a new stage in the development of relations between Uzbekistan and Somalia, aimed at expanding collaboration in political, economic, and cultural spheres.
It is worth recalling that on 5 February, in New York, a Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Uzbekistan and Somalia was signed.
