Uzbekistan’s Foreign Exchange and Gold Reserves Reach Record US$75 Billion
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s foreign exchange and gold reserves have reached an all-time high, exceeding US$75 billion as of February 1, 2026, the Central Bank of the country reported.
At the end of December 2025, the reserves amounted to US$66.3 billion, meaning a growth of more than US$8 billion in just one month—an unprecedented increase in the history of statistical reporting.
The physical gold holdings at the beginning of February were estimated at 12.8 million troy ounces, compared to 12.6 million ounces in December 2025. The value of gold reached US$64.9 billion, showing an increase of nearly 18%.
Meanwhile, the foreign currency component of the reserves amounted to US$9.5 billion, down from US$10.64 billion in December of the previous year.
