Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s first Ambassador to the Principality of Liechtenstein, with residence in Berlin, Dilshod Akhatov, presented his credentials to Hereditary Prince Alois, the Dunyo news agency reported.

The Hereditary Prince emphasized his support for strengthening mutually beneficial relations between the two countries and highlighted the historic significance of the first appointment of an Uzbek ambassador to Liechtenstein.

In addition, the Uzbek delegation met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Environment, and Culture Sabine Monauni. During the talks, the sides highly praised the constructive dialogue between the two countries within the UN and other international organizations.

It should be noted that in October 2023, Dilshod Akhatov presented his credentials to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Germany. He also currently serves as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Switzerland and the Czech Republic.

Diplomatic relations between Liechtenstein and Uzbekistan were established in March 2024.
