Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — By the end of 2025, Uzbekistan plans to increase the total production of building materials to 52 trillion soums, exports to US$1.2 billion, and the volume of investments deployed to US$2.4 billion, according to the “Uzpromstroymaterials” Association.

The agency noted that under the localization program, production worth 4.4 trillion soums is expected.

Over the first nine months of the year, building materials worth 41.5 trillion soums were produced, exports reached US$810.2 million, and investments amounted to US$1.705 billion. Within the localization framework, production totaled 3.3 trillion soums.

Actual production for January–September exceeded forecasts, reaching 41.7 trillion soums against the expected 40.1 trillion soums, reflecting a growth rate of 113.5%.

Among the products manufactured were 17.9 million tons of cement, 30.5 million sq. m of construction glass, 37.8 million sq. m of ceramic tiles, 85 million sq. m of drywall sheets, 292 thousand tons of dry construction mixes, and 695.7 thousand sanitary items.

As part of investment projects, 230 facilities worth US$1.065 billion were commissioned, creating 8,712 new jobs. Foreign direct investment and loans for secured projects totaled US$168.6 million, with US$195.7 million planned for deployment for the remainder of 2025.

Exports of building materials in the first nine months of 2025 reached US$810.2 million, achieving 101% of the planned target and exceeding last year’s figure by 26%. Growth was primarily driven by shipments of aluminum materials, ceramics, stone and glass products, cement, DSP and MDF boards, as well as PVC and plastic products.

To expand export channels, “Uzbekistan” trade houses and showrooms have been established in Baku, Dushanbe, Lahore, Kabul, Mazar-i-Sharif, Aktau, and Jalal-Abad, showcasing over 50 types of high value-added building materials.
