Uzbekistan’s Electricity Production Rises 7% in Q1 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan increased its electricity generation by 7% in January–March 2026 compared to the same period last year, the Ministry of Energy’s public relations head Dildora Hashimova reported.
During the first three months of 2026, the country produced 23.317 billion kWh of electricity, 1.471 billion kWh more than in January–March 2025.
Consumers in the republic received 20.163 billion kWh, 262 million kWh or 1% more than the same period in 2025.
The Ministry of Energy highlighted that the increase was made possible by the modernization of existing facilities and the commissioning of new generating units. Efforts continue to ensure stable electricity supply for households and economic sectors.
