Uzbekistan’s Electricity Generation Rises 4% in January–November 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to November 2025, Uzbekistan produced 76,783.5 million kWh of electricity, a 4.0% increase compared to 73,842.8 million kWh in the same period of 2024.
The structure of production continues to shift significantly. Large enterprises reduced electricity generation to 56,132.9 million kWh, down 13.3% from 64,772.4 million kWh in January–November 2024.
At the same time, small businesses demonstrated a sharp increase, generating 20,650.6 million kWh—more than 2.2 times the 9,070.4 million kWh produced in the previous year.
A decline was also recorded in heat energy production. Large enterprises generated 17,836.9 thousand Gcal of thermal energy, 10.2% lower than the 19,854.9 thousand Gcal produced in January–November 2024.
Additionally, volumes of gas formed during underground coal gasification fell significantly. At large enterprises, this figure totaled 45.2 million cubic meters, more than two times lower than 92.4 million cubic meters in the same period last year.
