Uzbekistan’s Crypto Turnover Surpasses US$2 Billion in 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s crypto asset turnover exceeded US$2 billion in 2025, the First Deputy Director of the National Agency for Advanced Projects (NAPP), Vyacheslav Pak, announced on March 18.

He noted that last year, the regulator fined three to four foreign crypto platforms. All companies agreed to pay the fines but requested that their identities remain confidential.

In 2025, NAPP requested the blocking of over 3,000 online resources, including illegal crypto platforms, marketplaces, betting sites, and online casinos, and sent the relevant information to law enforcement authorities.

Earlier, in spring 2024, Pak reported rapid growth in Uzbekistan’s crypto turnover, which had already exceeded US$1 billion at the time.

Currently, the country has 21 licensed crypto service providers, including 12 crypto stores, six crypto depositories, and three crypto exchanges, generating 207 jobs.

Since the sector’s launch, providers have registered 663,691 clients, of which 661,850 are domestic residents. Between 2022 and 2025, companies paid over 107 billion soms in fees, including 79 billion in state duties and 28 billion in monthly service charges.
