Uzbekistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Muslim Trade Forum agree to continue dialogue

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  As part of the Makkah Halal Forum, First Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Davronbek Kurbanov met with a delegation from the Muslim Trade Forum (MTF), led by its chairman, Sir Iqbal Sacranie.

The forum, held in Mecca from February 25 to 27, serves as a key platform for expanding economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom. The Muslim Trade Forum is a leading organization uniting Muslim entrepreneurs in the UK and promoting international trade partnerships.

During the meeting, discussions focused on economic, legal, and investment cooperation. The Uzbek side presented information on the country’s business environment, incentives, and opportunities for foreign investors.

Sir Iqbal Sacranie praised Uzbekistan’s ongoing reforms, highlighting measures aimed at economic liberalization, business support, and improving investment attractiveness.

The talks covered potential areas of cooperation, including production and export of halal products, expansion of tourism ties, enhancement of legal and financial infrastructure, boosting bilateral trade volumes and establishing joint ventures.

As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue their dialogue and to organize a visit of British business representatives to Uzbekistan to strengthen their partnership further.
