Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has decided to postpone its upcoming meeting on the key interest rate, which was originally scheduled for 24 July, the regulator’s press service reported.

According to the Central Bank, the postponement is due to the anticipated release of crucial economic data for the first half of the year, including indicators from Uzbekistan’s major trading partners. These figures are expected to become available only by the end of the month.

The regulator emphasized that a well-informed decision on the interest rate requires a comprehensive analysis of the latest macroeconomic data.

A new date for the meeting will be announced in due course.
