Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Presents Credentials to the President of Viet Nam
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Oybek Eshonov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan with residence in Jakarta, has presented his credentials to the President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Luong Cuong. The official ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi, according to the Dunyo News Agency.
During a brief conversation, the President of Viet Nam asked that his deep respect and best wishes be conveyed to the President of Uzbekistan, stressing that Hanoi highly values the established friendly bilateral relations and is interested in their further steady development. He noted that the Government of Viet Nam regards Uzbekistan as a reliable and priority partner in Central Asia.
The Head of State emphasized that, despite the geographical distance, Uzbek–Vietnamese cooperation has been developing consistently along an upward trajectory. He also expressed Viet Nam’s readiness to serve as a kind of bridge connecting Uzbekistan with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, facilitating the expansion of mutually beneficial ties.
The dialogue underscored the existence of significant potential for intensifying cooperation in the trade and economic, investment, and cultural and humanitarian spheres. President Luong Cuong highly praised Uzbekistan’s achievements in socio-economic development, the results of the ongoing reforms, and the large-scale transformations being implemented in the country.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the President of Viet Nam, on behalf of the leadership of the Communist Party, the Government, and the people of the country, wished the Republic of Uzbekistan continued progress, sustainable development, and prosperity.
Earlier, on 4 November 2024, Oybek Eshonov presented his credentials to the President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, in Jakarta, and since March 2025 he has been accredited as Uzbekistan’s Permanent Representative to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
