Uzbekistan Wins Four Medals at the 3rd Asian Youth Games

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Team Uzbekistan continues to perform confidently at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.

The first gold medal for the team was won by Avaz Anvarov in mixed martial arts (up to 50 kg), defeating Kazakh athlete Sanzhar Imangali. In the same discipline, Ibrokhim Botirov earned a silver medal in the up to 55 kg weight category, losing to a competitor from Tajikistan.

Young taekwondo athletes also demonstrated strong results: Akhadjon Mukhtorov secured gold in the up to 73 kg category after defeating his Kazakh opponent, while Rushanakhon Ravshanova won the final match in the up to 55 kg category against a Chinese athlete, bringing another gold medal to the team.

As of now, Team Uzbekistan has won a total of 17 medals: 9 gold, 4 silver, and 4 bronze.
