Uzbekistan Wins 96 Medals, Finishes Second at Riyadh 2025 Games
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbek delegation, having won 96 medals, successfully concluded its participation in the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, securing second place in the overall team standings.
Our athletes delivered one of the country’s best performances in the history of these competitions, earning 29 gold, 35 silver, and 32 bronze medals.
First place went to Turkey, which collected 155 medals — 72 gold, 44 silver, and 39 bronze, while Iran took third place with 29 gold, 19 silver, and 33 bronze awards.
Among Central Asian countries, Uzbekistan achieved the highest result, surpassing neighboring nations: Kazakhstan ranked seventh overall with 56 medals, including 15 gold, 20 silver, and 21 bronze.
The outstanding achievements of Uzbek athletes once again reaffirmed the country’s status as one of the leading sporting nations among members of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation.
