Uzbekistan Wins 23 More Medals at III CIS Games in Azerbaijan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan national team continues its strong performance at the III CIS Games in Azerbaijan.
During the latest day of competition, Uzbek athletes claimed 7 gold, 9 silver, and 7 bronze medals, further strengthening their position in the overall team standings.
Gold medals were won by Behruz Rohataliev (boxing, up to 54 kg), Bobomurod Boymirzaev (boxing, up to 57 kg), Dilshod Ahmadjonov (boxing, up to 63 kg), Oybek Abdurakhimov (boxing, up to 70 kg), Khurshid Juraev (boxing, up to 75 kg), Jamolbek Turgunov (rowing, 1500 m), and Bekzod Boborazhabov (archery, individual).
Silver medals went to Utkirbek Norkosimov (boxing, up to 46 kg), Azizbek Shokirjonov (boxing, up to 50 kg), Otabek Nurmukhammedov (boxing, up to 60 kg), Kamronbek Khamdamov (boxing, up to 66 kg), Farhod Bahodirov (boxing, over 80 kg), the women’s archery team (team event), Gulom Koraboev (canoe sprint, 200 m, U17), the duo Sh. Khasanov / N. Reinwald (kayak, 200 m, double, U18), and the mixed judo team.
Bronze medals were earned by M. Kamalov and N. Saidkulova (10 m air pistol, mixed), J. Sokhibov and M. Takhirova (10 m air rifle, mixed), the men’s archery team, Davlat Khamdamov (kayak, 500 m, U16), Ziyodbek Yuldoshaliev (kayak, 500 m, U20), Lazizbek Kuchkorov (rowing, 1500 m), and the duo G. Koraboev / M. Aripov (canoe, 200 m, double, U17).
