Uzbekistan Welcomes Over 1.7 Million Tourists in 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan welcomed 1,776,336 foreign visitors for tourism purposes in January–February 2026, according to data released by the National Committee on Statistics of Uzbekistan.
The figure represents an increase of 441,000 visitors compared to the same period last year, marking a 33% year-on-year rise. Tourists arrived from 156 countries, reflecting the continued expansion of Uzbekistan’s inbound tourism geography.
The largest share of visitors came from neighboring countries. Kyrgyzstan ranked first with 521,138 ტურists, followed by Tajikistan with 469,060 and Kazakhstan with 386,284.
Among other key source markets, Russia accounted for 123,310 visitors, while Afghanistan contributed 83,613. The top ten also included Turkmenistan with 51,206 tourists, China with 49,080, Türkiye with 24,212, India with 9,438, and South Korea with 5,398 visitors.
The growth underscores the sustained upward trend in tourist arrivals and highlights Uzbekistan’s increasing appeal as a travel destination, alongside the diversification of its international visitor base.
