Uzbekistan Welcomes 489 Tourists from Australia in Two Months

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the National Statistics Committee, 489 Australian citizens visited Uzbekistan in January and February 2026 for tourism and other purposes.

This figure is 121 more than during the same period in 2025.

Most visitors — 390 people — came for leisure travel. Additionally, 40 arrived to visit relatives, 20 for business purposes, 31 for official matters, and 8 for education.

The increase in Australian tourists reflects Uzbekistan’s growing international reputation as a safe and attractive destination for both leisure and business travel.
