Uzbekistan, US consider development of relations
During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on actual aspects of the Uzbek-US cooperation in various areas, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs and Senior Director of Communications and Public Diplomacy in the office of the Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Eileen O’Connor, arrived in Uzbekistan on 15 April and will stay till 20 April.
Deputy Assistant Secretary O’Connor will meet with government and education leaders in Tashkent to discuss bilateral and regional issues, including cooperation in the sphere of education, in furtherance of the U.S. policy to broaden and deepen the U.S. – Uzbekistan relationship. She will also hold internal consultations with U.S. government officials.
