Over 120 representatives of the government bodies, heads of the US leading companies and banking-financial organization of the US participated in the business forum. Among the participants were representatives of General Motors, Boeing, General Electric, Lockheed Martin, Anadarko, Honeywell, Caterpillar, Solar Turbins, White & Case, Procter & Gamble, Overseas Private Investment Corporation, the US Ex-Im Bank, Citibank and others.
The Chairperson of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC) Carolyn Lamm, Assistant Secretary for Global Markets of the US Department of Commerce Arun M. Kumar, Assistant US Trade Representative Michael J. Delaney, the Deputy Assistant of the United States Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Daniel Rosenblum and representatives of business circles underlined significant potential and opportunities for expanding mutual beneficial trade-economic, investment and technological cooperation between two states.
Perspective investment projects within the long-term programme of modernization of industry, development of infrastructure, privatization of the state property and introduction of new methods of corporate management, adopted in Uzbekistan, attracted interest of the US businesses.
Within the business forum, the delegation of Uzbekistan held several bilateral meetings and negotiations with heads of economic bodies and leading companies of the United States.
