Uzbekistan Updates List of Banned Extremist Resources

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Supreme Court of Uzbekistan has published an updated list of materials prohibited from import, production, distribution, and display within the country due to their association with extremist and terrorist ideologies.

The updated list includes 270 pages on Facebook, 855 channels and groups in Telegram, 386 profiles on Instagram, 190 channels on YouTube, 39 pages on Odnoklassniki, 62 accounts on TikTok, one profile on Threads, as well as 34 websites and other sources containing prohibited content.

Since the beginning of 2026, the list has been expanded by more than 240 new sources. Nearly half of them consist of newly identified groups and channels on Telegram and Instagram.

Among the updates, a prohibited source on Threads has been identified for the first time.

The Supreme Court reminded that the distribution of materials published on pages, channels, and resources included in the list constitutes a violation of the law and entails liability under current legislation.
