Uzbekistan U-23 Secures Spot in 2026 AFC U-23 Asian Cup by Finishing Second in Group

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan U-23 national football team finished second in Group E of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifying tournament, securing their place in the 2026 AFC U-23 Asian Cup.

In the final group match, Kyrgyzstan defeated Sri Lanka 6-0. Both Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan ended with seven points, but Kyrgyzstan claimed first place due to a superior goal difference.

The 2026 AFC U-23 Asian Cup will take place from 7 to 25 January in Saudi Arabia.
