Uzbekistan U-23 Fall 1-2 to Russia in Friendly Match

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan U-23 national football team suffered a 2-1 defeat to Russia in an international friendly held in Antalya, Türkiye.

The Russian side took the lead in the opening minute, with Andrey Ilvev finding the net. Uzbekistan responded before halftime, leveling the score in the 44th minute through Firdavs Abdurakhmonov.

In the second half, Gleb Popilotov scored the decisive goal in the 60th minute to secure the win for Russia.

Uzbekistan U-23 will play their next match on 30 March against Albania.
