Uzbekistan U-20 to hold training camp in Turkey

Director of UFF National Teams Center Askar Talipdjanov said that Uzbekistan U-20 will hold two friendly matches in Turkey. He said that one of them will be against local team and another against Turkey U-20.

He said that Uzbekistan U-20 will hold friendly matches against Portugal U-20 on 23 and 25 April. Uzbekistan and Portugal reached agreement that the matches will be held in Porto.

The UFF said that Portugal qualified to the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Turkey this summer.

Askar Talipdjanov said that ahead of FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey, Uzbekistan can also play several matches against African sides. He said that the UFF works on this issue.

FIFA U-20 World Cup will be held in Turkey from 21 June to 13 July. Uzbekistan qualified to the games, reaching semifinals of the AFC U-19 Championship.
