Uzbekistan U-20 loses to Sogdiana in friendly

Ahmadjon Musaev’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat in hand of Sogdiana, which was promoted to Oliy Liga of Uzbekistan last season. Sardor Qahharov scored the only goal of the match.

Uzbekistan U-20 head coach Ahmadjon Musaev said that this was the first match of the team in new season and the score was not important. He said that Uzbekistan U-20 is holding preparation to Commonwealth Cup, which will be held in Russia. He underlined that players are in various fitness conditions, which resulted in the defeat.

Today, Uzbekistan U-20 will play its second match. The opponent will be Kyzylkum Zarafshan, which play in Oliy Liga of Uzbekistan.

This will be last match of Uzbekistan U-20 in Tashkent. On 17 September, Uzbekistan team will fly to Saint Petersburg to the Commonwealth Cup.
